In this informal conversation Professor Judith Anderson and Afro-Argentine lawyer and activist Madoda Ntaka discuss the process of creating an organization that assists Afro-descendants in Argentina who have been victims of race-based discrimination. This is especially difficult as Afro-descendants have absent from the nation’s official records for over 130 years. In this dialogue about their international collaboration they will highlight lessons learned and ongoing challenges of their international social justice collaboration, in hopes of guiding others across the region who are organizing to fight for rights and representation.

Madoda Ntaka is a legal advisor at the Procuración General de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, representative of La Red Argentino-Americana para el Liderazgo (REAL) and El Instituto Argentino para la Igualdad, Diversidad e Integración (IARPIDI)
