As the Latino population continues to grow in the U.S., how will this demographic shift impact the political landscape and the future of American democracy? In this important conversation, experts will shine light on the diversity, complexity, and divergent views within the Latino community, while also discussing the power Latino voters have to affect elections, redistricting, public policy, and more. John Gutiérrez, director of Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies (CLACLS) at the CUNY Graduate Center, moderates a discussion featuring Luis A. Miranda, Jr., founding partner of the MirRam Group, founding president of the Hispanic Federation, and a community leader for over four decades; and others.

Part of the Promise and Perils of Democracy Project funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Weekday visitors to the Graduate Center’s 365 Fifth Avenue campus no longer have to show proof of vaccination or negative PCR tests at the lobby desk.
